Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

• Your email address — when you join our waitlist or create an account.
• Your preferences — if you create an account: the departure airports you select and your alert threshold.
• Basic technical data — like your IP address and browser type, automatically logged by our hosting provider for security and to keep the service running.

We do not knowingly collect any special categories of data, and Volairr is not directed at children under 16.

2. Why we use your data (and our legal basis)

We use your data to:

• Send you flight deal alerts and updates about Volairr that you signed up for;
• Create and manage your account and preferences;
• Operate, secure and improve our service.

Our legal basis for sending you emails is your consent, which you give when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 6).

3. Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers that process data on our behalf to run Volairr:

• Vercel — website and app hosting;
• Supabase — database and login;
• Resend — sending our emails;
• Travelpayouts — flight price data and booking links.

Each of these only processes your data to provide their service to us.

4. International transfers

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your email address and preferences for as long as you are subscribed or hold an account. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it without undue delay. Technical logs are kept only for a short period.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can:

• Click unsubscribe in any email we send you;
• Change or switch off your alerts in your account settings;
• Email us at contact@volairr.com for any request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

7. Cookies

Our website uses only what's necessary to function. When you log into the app, we use an essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
